Minecraft: Enchanting Weapons

In Minecraft, you can enchant a number of things. Among these are: Armor, weapons, and tools. Even other un-enchantable objects can be enchanted with a mod/plugin. Legitly, the highest level enchantment is Level 30. (50 was the highest a few versions ago.) The largest number certain mods can enchant is 127, but with other mods, you can enchant 20,000+. Legit enchantments (Level 30 max.) are displayed in Roman Numerals, a.k.a. I, II, III, IV, and V. (In this order: 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.) To legitimately enchant an item, you must first have an enchanting table. Enchanting tables require: 4 obsidian, 2 diamonds, and one book.

To get the highest possible enchantment legitimately, you must build a 4x4 box of bookshelves, leaving a 3x3 gap of air within the box. (Floor does not require bookshelves.) break a hole in the middle of the of one side, and place the enchanting table in the middle. Simply right click the enchanting table and place the item in the slot.

The enchantment table uses different alphabet, nicknamed 'Galactic Alphabet.' Below is the translation for the new alphabet in Minecraft.

Minecraft: Armor

Armor in Minecraft is essential to survival later in the game. As you progress, you may notice that mobs attack very often. The armor from weakest to strongest in the game are leather, gold, chain, iron, and diamond. Crafting chain requires fire, which is can be obtained through mods or trading with villagers. To make armor, refer to the pictures below. To equip armor, open up the inventory and the armor slots will be next to the crafting section. Place the armor accordingly. You will notice an armor bar above the food bar. This shows how many defense points you have. The more defense points you have, the less damage you will take when injured.

Redstone Basics

Redstone acts like a power source.  The signal can travel through 15 redstone.  To make the distance of the redstone travel longer you must have repeaters.  To place redstone right click it on a block while holding the redstone like any other block you place.  You cannot place redstone on sides of blocks, but the redstone you place will automatically connect to the redstone on a block below it.  Redstone cannot be places on non solid blocks.  Redstone can also be placed on some non solid blocks like glowstone and upside down half slabs.  It can only be placed on solid blocks.  Redstone can be powered by redstone torches, levers, buttons, tripwires, and pressure plates.

Minecraft Classic

Minecraft Classic is just like when Minecraft first came out a few years ago. There are no mobs, only one type of tree, and grass is a different color. It is no longer being worked on. And the world stops at a certain point (Left side of photo below), but it is still quite similar to Minecraft today. Minecraft Classic is free to play.

NOTE: You must have either a Premium or Non- Premium account. Both will work.

Tips For Beginners: Pickaxes

The pickaxe is Minecraft's most popular tool to use. The Pickaxe is a tool used for mining stone, ores, and obsidian. Though it can break other things, it will not be as efficient. Pickaxes can also be enchanted for more efficiency. Some enchantments include: Efficiency, Unbreaking, Fortune, and so on. Pickaxes can be made with: wood, cobblestone, iron ingots, gold ingots, and diamonds. It can also be crafted with obsidian, but only with certain mods.

The ClaySoldiers Mod 1.3.2

You're probably thinking: a mod about clay? Well, this isn't just any ordinary mod. Create huge customizable clay armies in Minecraft and have them battle! Super soldiers, horses, geckos, turtles, pegasuses, and more! Before you go away, read this post for photos and more information below!

NOTE: THIS MOD IS FOR 1.3.2, AND 1.3.2 ONLY.

Requirements: Minecraft 1.3.2, and MinecraftForge.

Here's how it is. A clay soldier is an item you can hold in your hand. Once you have crafted a nice little pile, (x16), right-click the floor to place them down all at once. They will immediately spread out and explore the nearby area. They aren't the fastest things in the world of Minecraft, and can only jump one block high. These little figures can be destroyed in just one punch from you. They are qualified to fight OTHER clay soldiers of different color. Put down another stack and you've got a fight. Better yet, give your first group some customizations, such as sticks and leather. Diamonds for super soldiers, and much, MUCH more items!

Recommended Build of MinecraftForge (Install it just like any mod): http://www.minecraftforge.net/forum/index.php/topic,5.0.html

NOTE: THIS MOD WILL NOT RUN WITHOUT MINECRAFTFORGE.

Tips For Beginners: Smelt-able Items

Smelting, also known as melting, baking, cooking, burning and producing. Smeltable Items are things that can be put in a furnace and smelted. It is a very important part of the game. For example, if you mine an iron ore, you must smelt it to obtain and iron ingot. The iron ingot allows you to craft many items essential to survival such as iron armor, and a iron pickaxe. A furnace is made by gathering cobblestone and placing it in all the squares of the crafting table except for the one in the center.  In order to smelt something, fuel is needed.

The fuel that is fairly easy to obtain and use is coal. They are found in huge numbers often in caves and abandoned mineshafts. Any wooden item can be used as fuel. All possible things smeltable in Minecraft (Without mods) are food items,(pork chops, beef, etc...) iron ores, and many other items. To use a furnace, simply insert the fuel source into the bottom square of the input section, and insert the item you want to smelt on top. It takes a few seconds to smelt each object. You can always exit the furnace and gather the fuel and smelted items later. You can also take objects out as the furnace is still working.
