How to Install Most Mods

For this tutorial, I will be using the TooManyItems Mod, 1.3.2. The mod download link is down there on the bottom of this blog. This tutorial will be for Windows Vista/7. WinRar is required.

Step 1. Download the mod. Link below on the first post.

Step 2. Open up the .rar file. Inside you should see something like tmi.class files.

Step 3. Leave the mod open. Go to the Start Button.

Step 4. In the search bar, type: run

Step 5. Hit Enter. A small window should pop up. Inside the new window, type: %appdata%

Step 6. Another new window should pop up. Find the .minecraft folder.

Step 7. Once you have found it, double click it. Then double click the 'bin' folder.

Step 8. Then, find the file named 'minecraft' or 'minecraft.jar' and right click it. Open with: WinRar.

Step 9. A new window should pop up, containing the Minecraft .class files and folders.

Step 10. Delete the META-INF folder. Go to your mod .rar and highlight all the tmi.class, etc. files and drag it into the minecraft.jar folder. NOTE: Do not drag it into a folder.

Step 11. Close all windows. Launch Minecraft and Enjoy. Please feel free to leave a comment of some sort.
