Tips For Beginners: Nether Fortresses

Nether Fortresses only spawn in the Nether and are made of mostly Netherbricks. These buildings are home to Blazes, flying mobs that shoot fireballs. (Literally.)

As your reach to the top of the cliff ends, you look around desperately. There, in front of you, lies a Nether Fortress. You observe the purple building, and notice that it is inhabited with Blazes....

Nether Fortresses are usually quite enormous, and they contain Netherwarts. Netherwarts are used to create  various potions. For example, Poison potions. You will know it is a Nether Fortress because of its dark-purple Netherbrick and an occasional Blaze flying around. Killing Blazes gives you blaze rods. Blaze spawners are located on a tower/platform structure.
